Well, we aren’t taking you to Manali, but we for sure are taking you to Gaumukh Tapovan. We know it sounds anticlimactic, but it is FUN!
.

Gaumukh Tapovan: An Overview In India, the river Ganga holds a sacred position. If you are looking forward to a trek that combines myth, reality, and self-discovery, trekking experience is going to be your ideal most choice. It is not only going to be another summer trek or winter trek; it is going to be an experience that helps you grow spiritually.

Contrary to popular belief, this was one of the most popular trekking sites in India. This was because, Tapovan is situated at the foot of Mt Shivling, only over the Gangotri ice sheet, which is the principle wellspring of River Ganga things don’t end here you can also see the Bhagirathi sisters, entirely. For years this trekking trail has been beloved by seekers of adrenaline and spirituality.

The area of Tapovan makes it a spectacular spot for travelers. The most notable tapovan in India is the region over the Gangotri Glacier at one of the essential wellsprings of the Ganges, in Uttarakhand, India.

The journeying ordinarily begins from Gaumukh, and the trip was viewed as moderate to troublesome before the annihilation of a significant part of the path from Gangotri to Gaumukh by the 2013 North Indian Floods.

About the trek  Gaumukh Trek ranges up to a total of 46 km trek, which is typically hiked for 6-7 days. The trail snakes through the Greater Himalayas within the confines of Gangotri National Park. It is a moderate trek that can be attempted by beginners if you prepare well.

A multi-day agenda mixing legend, otherworldliness, and electrifying experience, the Gaumukh Tapovan Trek takes you around the Gangotri icy mass to the site generally accepted to be the mouth of the blessed waterway Ganga.

The Gangotri frigid span is about 24 km long and 6 to 8 km wide, starting from Gaumukh and reaching out similarly as the Chaukhamba massif around Badrinath.

In the wake of devouring our faculties, in short, lived icy tones and the high background of Mount Shivling, present entirely from the base to the serrated pinnacle, we plummet through the mountains of Tapovan back to Gangotri. The trip is undoubtedly a furious visual thrill fest with rising mountain behemoths, for example, the Bhagirathi twin pinnacles, and Mount Meru, other than the ever-present Shivling.

The acknowledgment of heavenliness on viewing the stream that conceived an offspring and supported whole human progress develops erratically out of the Gaumukh nose to stream 2,525 odd kilometers before meeting with the sea, comes at an arresting profound second.

The journey, in extraordinary parts, veers past the timberline and goes through overwhelming mountainscapes. We camp at strict statues from where the snow bonded tops are a short distance away.

Be it the dreamlike sight of the Bhagirathi tops shimmering in the evening glow, the psyche desensitizing view of the Shivling from Tapovan campground, ascending from the base to its pinnacle directly before you, or a brief look at the impressive Mount Meru, the endurance of visual delights never appears to abandon this excursion.

This trek is grouped moderate-hard for quite a few reasons. It would help if you came prepared for a strenuous climb along with stone ridden ways and a heartless atmosphere. The heavenly men who are discovered living for all time in the mountains of Tapovan for sadhana under the look of Shivling can be the ones to draw your motivation from!
.

Places to look out for

• The Gaumukh Glacier
The Gaumukh glacier is a gigantic glacier that tends to leave its viewers awestruck by the majestic formation. It is a breath-taking experience that is hard to describe in words. We highly recommend wandering into the mountain and it for yourself.

• The view of Mount Shivling and Bhagirathi Sisters
The grandeur of Mt. Shivling is well-known around the world. People from all over the world tend to come and witness this beauty. Contrary to popular belief this mountain is not filled with flat-grasslands. It is raw which makes this trekking trail full of adventure and thrill.

The Bhagirathi Sisters are mountain ranges that are not talked about that often. But we assure you these are almost as majestic as any other ranges. During this trek, you will get to experience an amazing view of the Bhagirathi Sisters from the top to the bottom. They are quite striking, perhaps more if you like harmony in rock terrain.

Best Time to Visit: Gaumukh Tapovan Trek is pleasant for any month of the year. Best time of year include Oct to April. During winters, Sarutak Tal and nearby meadows covered in the wide blanket of snow.
